castiglionfiorentino/italy:mar9/2006/02:55:10AM ??ohwhatitwasincarnationthreestars?? late.late on getting the site updated.ran into more technical problems this week.borrowed scanner from friend here,only to have my voltage adapter die while using it.its power brick went up in smoke,literally.hence the goofy-ass movie instead of scanned images of recent drawings,paintings.sad,since the last few weeks have brought a surge in productivity.started working on multiple pieces in various mediums and writing first draft of short film.nicole also starting to get lots of photo/sculpture work done.did some traveling south a couple of weeks ago,through rome and naples to sorrento,a beautiful costal tourist trap.lemons there the size of your head.also many stray dogs and american school children.found cool contemporary art museum in naples with a good collection of work and some impressive permanent installations by Rebecca Horn,Jeff Koons,more.>><<.stayed up until 6AM the other night watching the oscars on a German access channel.terrible,I know.they're a crock.but i haven't missed an oscars for probably ten years,and they're the epitomy of a movie-snob's guilty pleasure.depressing that i had only seen one of the best picture nominees.very happy that none of the nomineees for best animated film were comupter-generated.nicole coughing in background.got over her cold days ago but still the damn cough.tonight dinner was spaghetti carbonara,which is a pasta cooked in gobs of scrambled eggs and ham.one serving probably takes a week off your life,but god it's good.next entry will probably be late as well as our spring break starts next week.looking to hit sicily.late.gotta get up early and haul in the meat order.pollo,taquino.italians seem to take bird flu as seriously as atkins. dispatch ends.
